When you break an appointment in your practice management system it will show up in one of two places: the Cancellation metric, or the No Show metric. To better understand this we need to address the difference between the two metrics:

The Cancellation metric shows patients who broke their appointment 24 hours or more prior to their actual appointment. 

The No Show metric shows patients that broke their appointment within 24 hours or who didn't show up.
