How to Sync Dental Intelligence Analytics With Your Practice Management Software

Syncing is a simple process that Dental Intelligence uses to get the data from your practice management software. We do this once a day, usually during the middle of the night so we don't miss anything from the previous day.

Syncing is a vital step to your Analytics setup, as it allows us to have up to date and accurate information to help your practice grow. Watch the short video below or follow the step-by-step instructions to learn how to download our sync software and complete your first Analytics sync!


Step 1: Download Dental Intelligence CloudSync

Dentrix users: Please open your Office Manager tool at the beginning of this process for a successful sync. You may have to input a Dentrix User ID and Password for an administrator in Dentrix to proceed.

  1. To get started syncing with Analytics, you will need access to the server in your practice.
    ​
    ​πŸ’₯NoteπŸ’₯: Your Server Computer is most likely a computer found in a back room in your office that is not used every day. You might have an IT Group that maintains your server computer. If so, this article can be shared with your IT Group or you can connect your IT Group with our Support Team.

  2. Once you have logged on to your server, navigate to downloads.dentalintel.com

  3. Click on the leftmost link, Dental Intelligence CloudSync.

  4. The PMS Sync Setup Wizard will download in your browser. Click on the downloaded dialog box to open. Ensure that the bubble next to Repair PMS Sync is selected and then click Finish.

  5. The PMS Sync will install (this process can take a few minutes)
    ​

  6. When the install is complete, click Close to exit
    ​

  7. A User Account Control window will open; click Yes to allow the app to make changes
    ​


Step 2: Sync Analytics

  1. Once the Dental Intelligence CloudSync has been downloaded, it will open and ask you for your Analytics Sync login credentials. You should have received these credentials in an email when you signed up for Dental Intelligence. If not, no worries! Simply email us at premiumsupport@dentalintel.com and we will be happy to provide these for you.

    ​Note: If your CloudSync app doesn't open immediately, click on the desktop CloudSync app icon to open the app login screen
    ​
    Once your credentials have been entered, click Sign In
    ​

  2. Select your practice management software type and select the acknowledgement to agree to the Terms of Service, then click Next
    ​

  3. The sync is now in process. Once the three bars complete, the program will auto-close in 30 seconds
    ​
