Understanding Follow Up Metrics
Hygiene Recare
Hygiene Recare Attempts show the following metrics by each team member:
a. follow up attempts
b. actual patients contacted
c. total patients contacted/total attempts = contact success percentage
Hygiene Recare Outcomes show the following metrics by each team member:
a. completed hygiene recare appointments
b. completed appointments/total contacted patients = success percentage
c. number of patients seen
d. dollar value of all attempted patients hygiene appointments
e. total dollar value of all attempted patients hygiene appointments/total number of attempted patients = dollar value per attempt
Example: Amy attempted to contact 31 patients. If every single attempted patient were to complete their hygiene recare appointment, the total dollar value would be $585. $585 divided by 31 is $19. The value of each follow up attempt done by Amy is $19.

Tracking Follow Ups
Completed Past Due Claims Follow Ups are not tracked in the Follow Ups Results page. This is because claims are not under the control of the practice. The history of the follow up will still be tracked in the Patient Card Activity.
Completed Unscheduled Broken Appointment Follow Ups will show as $0 being scheduled if the patient did not have a previously canceled / broken appointment.
For Unscheduled Treatment Follow Ups to be completed, the future appointment must be for the unscheduled treatment, and not a hygiene visit.
