LocalMed: Sending Individual Scheduling Messages in Dental Intelligence

This article will discuss the steps to send an individual Local Med online scheduling message through your Dental Intelligence dashboard

If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, it's that moving forward the way we do dentistry is evolving. Operationally, your dental practice is having to adapt in new ways to keep both your staff and patients safe. On top of that, you're attempting to recover months of lost production. It's safe to say, your back is up against the wall. Luckily, we've been working day and night to innovate our products. Our reason for doing this is simple, we want to help you bounce back stronger than ever. One way we're doing this is by giving you the ability to send custom texts and emails with scheduling links to your patients.

This article will help you understand how you can access this functionality so you can easily fill your schedule and recoup that lost production


Note:

In order to be able to send scheduling links through custom texts and emails to your patients, you must be set up to use LocalMed Online Scheduling in Dental Intelligence.

If you're not set up to use Local Med Online Scheduling but would like to try it out, then reach out to our support team by selecting the chat bubble in the bottom right hand corner!

If your practice is set up to use LocalMed Online Scheduling, then refer to the following steps

How to Send an Individual Online Scheduling Message

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. Access the Patient Card in Dental Intelligence

    Note: You can do this by clicking on a patient's name in any report or list in Dental Intelligence, or by searching for the patient in the search bar in the top right hand corner

  2. Click on the Schedule Icon under their name in the Patient Card

  3. Once you click on the schedule icon, click on the Send Now option

  4. Next, choose your Reason for Visit

  5. Select a custom date for the patient to schedule on or after, or select their hygiene due date

  6. This will pop up with a Message Preview

  7. Here you can edit and customize the message that will be delivered to the patient by selecting the Pencil Icon

    1. Any changes you make to the message will only show up in the text message, not in the email message to the patient. The email will only include the original message, which cannot be customized.

  8. Click into the text box to type content

  9. Add Variables or Placeholders by selecting the bracket icon { }. This will enter the code for Dental Intelligence to auto-fill the message with patient or practice information so each message is unique to the patient with less work on your end

  10. Click Done to update the changes to your message and then click Send when you are ready

And just like that, you're all set to start filling your schedule with ease. Utilizing this feature is one of the many ways we're going to enable your practice to do more and better dentistry.
