Recall Reminders with Engagement [Modento] will send automated messages to patients that are unscheduled for their Hygiene appointment. These settings can be customized by following the instructions in the following video:
Enabling Recall Reminders
Step by Step Instructions:
Go to Practice Setup
To enable your Recall Reminders, select the Check Box
Select the Delivery Channel Preference
If you use LocalMed Online Scheduling or another third party, you can add an Online Scheduling link in the URL box below this to automatically be included in the recall message. If you do not include a link here, we will autofill the practice phone number
Tip: this is a great place to add your LocalMed Online Scheduling widget/link. If you do not have this on hand, reach out to our support team. They will provide this to you!
If you use Engagement [Modento] Online Scheduling, you will be able to select an Adult and Child Procedure Type from the list of your Online Scheduling Practice-Level Services that you have created. To learn how to create these service types for Engagement Online Scheduling, click here
Next you will customize when the messages are delivered by entering
The Number of weeks before the patient is due for hygiene for the first message to be sent
The Number of weeks after the last message was delivered that the Recall will repeat if the patient does not schedule
And the Maximum number of Recall Messages to be sent to a patient that is Past Due
You can also ignore patients that are past due for hygiene over a period of time by entering in the Number of Weeks in the following text box. This will ensure patients that are past due over a number of months do not receive a recall reminder
Click Save when you are ready to go live with your Recall Reminders, this will start sending recall messages to the applicable patients
How Will This Affect Past Due Patients?
Reminders for patients that are past due will send out "X" weeks after Engagement [Modento] Recall Reminders are enabled. "X weeks" is the number of weeks placed in the section for Send first recall X weeks before due.
The criteria set in the Recall Reminder settings still apply to these past due patients. If a patient receives the maximum amount of messages, they will be removed from the recall campaign. If the patient reaches the maximum amount of months past their hygiene due date, they will no longer receive the recall reminders.
This will ensure your unscheduled hygiene patients that are already past due, still receive a notice to schedule.
