Adding Scheduling Rules to your LocalMed allows you more control over when specific appointment types can be scheduled. Refer to the following steps to learn more about this process.
How to Set Scheduling Rules
Step by Step Instructions:
Access the Practice Overview page of your LocalMed dashboard
Select the Gear Icon next to the Installation
Click Scheduling Rules
Click Add Appointment Time Rule
Here you will fill in the following fields that will act as a "Rule":
Do Not Schedule (The selected appointment types will not show openings for the time frame selected. This only applies to the appointment type you select in the next step)
Follow this by selecting the appointment type
Only Schedule (Shows the selected appointment type as available for only the time frame selected, if there are openings. This only applies to the appointment type you select in the next step)
Follow this by selecting the appointment type
Do Not Schedule Any (Will show that there are no openings in the time frame selected. This applies to all appointment types)
Finally you will enter in a Start Time and an End Time
💥Important Note💥: Start Time and End Time does block any appointment times leading up to the start time or following the end time, this means that if you add a Do Not Schedule rule from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the available slots from 2:00 - 3:00 and 5:00 - 6:00 will also show as unavailable.
Instead, mark your rule as Do Not Schedule from 3:10 pm to 4:50 pm to ensure that patients will still be able to schedule an appointment leading up to or after the blocked time.
This will automatically save and apply immediately to your Online Scheduling patient experience!
