For dental practices looking to make it easier for patients to book appointments right from Google Search and Maps, Dental Intelligence Engagement’s integration with Reserve with Google empowers practices to leverage the features you love in Online Scheduling to tap into more potential patients and drive business growth.

Before You Get Started

Before you can link your Google Business page to Engagement Online Scheduling, you need to ensure that practice address on file in Engagement matches exactly what is shown on your Google Business page.

Please ensure that the following information in Engagement Settings > Practice Info matches what is shown on your Google Business page:

  • Country

  • State

  • City

  • Street

  • Zip Code

Step 1: Set up the Action Link

Before you enable the Reserve with Google integration, set up the link that patients will click on when they click the 'Book Online' button on your Google Business Profile.

  1. From the left side menu in Engagement, click on Schedule > Configuration

  2. Click on the Reserve with Google section

  3. Click on the edit icon, then fill out the following fields:

    1. Add a Header name (optional). Header names are displayed in the upper left corner of the online scheduling experience and make it easier for patients to know what service they are scheduling. If left blank, the practice/group name will be displayed

    2. Add a Note (optional). This note is displayed in the upper left corner of the online scheduling window beneath the header name and can be used to provide a tip or instructions about booking

    3. Upload a unique link logo image. This image will show next to the header name while a patient is booking an appointment (Note: If no image is added here, the practice default logo will show instead)

    4. Choose a primary color (header and button accents)

    5. Choose a secondary color (form field sections)

    6. Choose a background color

  4. Lastly, choose to enable insurance or Google Analytics settings:

    1. If you would like the scheduling link to include fields related to the patient's insurance information (Primary Insurance, Member ID, and Group Number), select the Request insurance information checkbox

    2. Add a Google Analytics tracker to gain better insights on exactly which links are driving patient leads. Enter the Measurement ID from the property you'd like to track

  5. Click Save to finish

Step 2: Create Services

Once you've set up the Action Link, create the services that patients will see on your Google Business Profile in the 'Services' section.

In order to enable Reserve with Google, you must create and enable at least one service.

  1. From the left side menu in Engagement, click on Schedule > Configuration

  2. Click on the Reserve with Google section

  3. In the Services List section, click the Create Service button

  4. Next, fill out the following fields:

    1. Add a service name in English (required) and/or Spanish (optional)

    2. Add a description in English (required) and/or Spanish (optional)

    3. Select a service type

    4. Choose the appointment duration range (Note: Set the range at 'None' if you do not wish to display a duration range)

    5. Set a price range (Note: Set the price at 'None' if you do not wish to display a price)

  5. When finished, click Create

Choose the order of how your service links show up on the Service section of your Google Business Profile by dragging and dropping the services in the list in Engagement.

Step 3: Enable Reserve with Google integration

Now that you've set up all of your links, enable the Reserve with Google integration:

  1. From the left side menu in Engagement, click on Schedule > Configuration

  2. Click on the Reserve with Google section

  3. Select the checkbox "Enable your Reserve with Google integration once you define the Services you want your customers to see available on your Google Business Profile"

  4. When finished, click Save to apply your changes

Step 4: Review your Google Business Profile

Now that the Reserve with Google integration has been enabled in Engagement, be sure to check your Google Business Profile to ensure that the 'Book Online' button and 'Services' section are operating as desired and make any additional changes in Engagement as needed.
