Automatically send messages to patients at your practice with outstanding treatment using the Outstanding Treatment TouchPoint. Set dollar amount and time range criteria to only send reminder messages to patients with the most opportunity. Include an automatic follow-up message after your first contact if they don't reach out to schedule with you--saving you time and effort in filling up your schedule.
Review Outstanding Treatment Reminder Verbiage
Before you enable the automated Outstanding Treatment reminder, review your message verbiage and ensure that your reminder messages include all of the information that your patients need to successfully schedule for their next appointment.
Click on the Settings gear in the upper right corner
Click on the Verbiage tab
Scroll through the list of messages and click on the Outstanding Treatment section to display all available messages in text and email format
To edit a particular message version verbiage, click on the pencil icon
Add the desired content and placeholders, then click Save
Set Up the Outstanding Treatment TouchPoint
In the left side menu of Engagement, click on Follow Ups. Then click on TouchPoints
Click on the green Scheduling tile, then click on the Add TouchPoint button and choose Outstanding Treatment
Next, add the following criteria/rules:
Value: Set the minimum and maximum outstanding treatment patient dollar amount
Age: Set the minimum and maximum age of the outstanding treatment
Time: Choose the time of day that the message should be sent to patients with outstanding treatment
Choose the preferred delivery channel (text or email)
Once you've set your automation preferences, scroll down to preview the message content
Choose to send an additional follow-up message if patients don't schedule after receiving your initial TouchPoint message. Click the checkbox to enable and review the message template preview (Remember, make changes in Settings > Verbiage if needed)
When finished, click Add
Lastly, be sure to toggle the switch to enable the Outstanding Treatment TouchPoint (green means it’s active ✅)
That’s it! Your Outstanding Treatment messages are now automated. Patients will receive helpful reminders without all of the manual legwork.
Disable or Delete Outstanding Treatment Automation
To disable the Outstanding Treatment TouchPoint, click on the green toggle to turn it off. The status will show as inactive and the toggle will be greyed out. Once deactivated, Outstanding Treatment reminders will no longer be sent to patients.
To completely delete your Outstanding Treatment message automation, click on the 3-dot menu next to Outstanding Treatment and choose Delete.
Please note: Once your automation has been deleted, you will need to re-add the TouchPoint and all of your preferences if you would like to begin sending automated messages to patients once again.
