MFA will be required for all DI Insurance accounts beginning October 12, 2026. If MFA is not enabled by then, your practice will not be able to access DI Insurance or submit claims until it is turned on.
When you login to DI Insurance and the in-app MFA prompt appears, you can choose from three options:
Set Up Now: Begin MFA enrollment immediately.
Remind Me Later: Postpone enrollment. You can be reminded for up to 3 days, with one reminder shown per day.
Opt Out: Decline MFA enrollment. Choosing this option records a documented acknowledgment of the opt-out. đ Important: MFA will be required for all DI Insurance accounts beginning October 12, 2026. If MFA is not enabled by then, your practice will not be able to access DI Insurance or submit claims until it is turned on.
To ensure your practice is ready before MFA becomes required, complete the following steps:
1. Make sure you're using JETT Plugin to submit claims
If you haven't already, update from the PMS Dental Plugin to the JETT Plugin on every workstation used to submit claims.
Beginning October 7, claims can no longer be submitted through PMS Dental Plugin â you must update to JETT to continue these workflows.
Sign in to DI Insurance and click your name in the upper-right corner.
Select Downloads, then download JETT File Uploader.
Open the downloaded file and follow the prompts to complete the installation. Follow along with our step-by-step guide here.
2. Make sure each user has their own login
Each person accessing DI Insurance needs their own user account before setting up MFA. HIPAA requires unique user identification for systems containing ePHI â shared login credentials are inconsistent with this requirement because they prevent activity from being attributed to a specific individual.
If your practice currently shares login credentials, it's important to create individual users for the DI Insurance portal now. Contact disupport@vynedental.com for assistance.
3. Enable MFA
Once your software and users are ready, a Location Admin can enable MFA through User Management. Each user will complete a one-time MFA setup the next time they sign in.
