The Dental Intelligence Patient Finder tool has an array of filters that can be applied to your patient base to find a specific group of patients. These lists of patients can help simplify the scheduling process by identifying opportunity that might otherwise go un-noticed. The following article will discuss the functions of those filters so you can create an exact list of patients to fit your needs:

Account Balance | Greater Than, Less Than, Equals, Does Not Equal, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients with existing account balances. This is determined by the patient ledger in your Practice Management Software |
Age | Greater Than, Less Than, Equals, Does Not Equal, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter looks at the patients age according to the birthday/year listed in your Practice Management Software |
Birthday | On, Between, Days Past, Days Away | This filter allows you to search for patients according to their birthday |
Broken Hygiene Visits | Relative (a number of days): More Than, Exactly, Less Than Absolute (an exact date): After, On, Before, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter identifies patients with any hygiene visits that were broken within the time range selected |
Broken Restorative Visits | Relative (a number of days): More Than, Exactly, Less Than Absolute (an exact date): After, On, Before, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter identifies patients with any restorative visits that were broken within the time range selected |
Broken Visits | Relative (a number of days): More Than, Exactly, Less Than Absolute (an exact date): After, On, Before, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter identifies patients with any visits (regardless of type) that were broken within the time range selected |
Follow Up Task Type | Absolute (an exact date): After, On, Before, Between
Follow Up Type: (here you can select one or multiple Follow Up Task types to filter by) | This filter identifies patients with open Follow Up Tasks due within the time range selected. Depending on the type you have selected, the list will populate patients with the following Follow Up Task types: Hygiene Recare, Unscheduled Broken Appointment, Appointment Confirmation, Unscheduled Treatment, Past Due Account, Past Due Claims, Post-Op, Other |
Completed Treatment | Relative (a number of days): More Than, Exactly, Less Than Absolute (an exact date): After, On, Before, Between
All Treatment or Specific Treatment (here you can select treatment categories or specific codes) | This filter identifies patients that have completed any treatment, or a specific treatment according to the time range selected |
First Seen | Relative (a number of days): More Than, Exactly, Less Than Absolute (an exact date): After, On, Before, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients that were first seen (first completed treatment) according to the time range selected |
Hygiene Due | Relative (a number of days): More Than, Exactly, Less Than Absolute (an exact date): After, On, Before, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter identifies patients who are due for hygiene according to the time range selected |
Hygiene Production Per Visit | Greater Than, Less Than, Equals, Does Not Equal, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients according to the average dollar value of hygiene visits (a.k.a. Hygiene Production Per Visit) |
Hygiene Visits | Greater Than, Less Than, Equals, Does Not Equal, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients with Hygiene Visits that had a specific production amount according to the filters selected |
Last Seen | Relative (a number of days): More Than, Exactly, Less Than Absolute (an exact date): After, On, Before, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients that were last seen (last completed treatment) according to the time range selected |
Primary Insurance | Is, Is Not, Contains, Does Not Contain, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients according to their listed primary insurance. This does depend on the filter you select. For example: Does Not Contain is excellent for insurances with different branches or types - Does Not Contain "Cigna" would find any patient that has insurance without Cigna in the name |
Primary Insurance Remaining | Greater Than, Less Than, Equals, Does Not Equal, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients with remaining primary insurance balances according to what is entered in your Practice Management Software |
Primary Provider | Is, Is Not, Contains, Does Not Contain, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients according to who is listed as their Primary Provider in your Practice Management Software. This is dependent on the filter you select, for example: Contains "Dr. Sarah" will identify any patients with Dr. Sarah entered in as their primary provider |
Referral Source | Is, Is Not, Contains, Does Not Contain, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients according to the referral source entered in your Practice Management Software |
Scheduled | Is Scheduled Is Not Scheduled | This filter allows you to find patients according to their schedule status by checking to see if they have a future appointment |
Secondary Insurance | Is, Is Not, Contains, Does Not Contain, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients according to their listed secondary insurance in your Practice Management Software. This does depend on the filter you select |
Secondary Insurance Remaining | Greater Than, Less Than, Equals, Does Not Equal, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients with remaining secondary insurance balances according to what is entered in your Practice Management Software |
Secondary Provider | Is, Is Not, Contains, Does Not Contain, Is Unknown, Has Any Value | This filter allows you to identify patients according to who is listed as their Secondary Provider in your Practice Management Software. This is dependent on the filter you select, for example: Contains "Susan" will identify any patients with Susan entered in as their secondary provider |
