If you've set your Dental Intelligence Production Display Configuration to Net Production for your Analytics module, you must also select the calculation method:
Net Production by Adjustment Date
Net Production by Procedure Date
Net Production by 90-Day Average
Net Production by Estimated (available for Open Dental only)
Depending on the calculation method you've selected in the configuration settings, you can generate a Net Production Report in your practice management software that reflects the data being captured in Dental Intelligence so that you can ensure your metrics are current.
📌 Important note
If your report results don't match: Ensure you're following the recommended report settings. For the most accurate data, run reports after hours once all work has been entered in your Practice Management System (PMS). Because data syncs overnight, any changes made in the PMS during the day may not yet be reflected in your reports, which can cause discrepancies.
How to Run a Net Production Report in Dentrix
From Dentrix, navigate to Reports > Management > Analysis Summary
In the Analysis Summary window, select Provider Summary as the Report Type
Set the desired date range (This should match the date range you are reviewing in Analytics)
Depending on the Net Production Calculation you have selected in Dental Intelligence, make the following selection in the Select Date section:
• Entry Date = Analytics Net Production by Adjustment Date• Procedure Date = Analytics Net Production by Procedure Date
Click OK to generate the report
How to Run a Net Production Report in Eaglesoft
From Eaglesoft, navigate to Reports > Providers
From the Report Listing window, click on the Financial tab and then choose Production Reconciliation. Next, click Process
In the Dates dropdown, select This Month. Then, click Preview Report to generate the report
How to Run a Net Production Report in Open Dental
From Open Dental, navigate to Reports > Standard
In the Reports window, click More Options
In the Report Type section, select Monthly
By default, the report will be generated for the current month. If desired, change the date range (This should match the date range you are reviewing in Analytics)
In the Clinics section, select the checkbox next to All (Includes hidden)
Depending on the Net Production Calculation you have selected in Dental Intelligence, make the following selection in the Insurance Write-Offs section:
• Using insurance payment date = Analytics Net Production by Adjustment Date• Using procedure date = Analytics Net Production by Procedure Date
• Use initial claim date for write-off = Analytics Net Production by Estimated
Select the checkbox next to Show Clinic Break/Show Clinic Info
Click OK to generate the report
