Getting your toll-free number verified is an important step in setting up your account. To help ensure a smooth, first-time approval, please review the requirements and best practices below before your verification is submitted.
What You'll Need
1. Website Requirements
A website is required and must meet the following criteria:
Must begin with HTTPS (not HTTP). The "s" is required — submissions with an HTTP URL will be automatically rejected by Bandwidth.
Must be a fully functional, live website. Sites that are blank, under construction, or show a "coming soon" page will be rejected.
Must display your physical business address
Must display your business phone number
Best Practice: A Facebook business page may be accepted as an alternative, but a dedicated website is strongly preferred.
2. Branded Email Address
A branded business email address is not technically required, but it is strongly recommended to avoid delays.
We highly recommend that the person listed as the primary contact have a business branded email address (e.g., the part after the "@" reflects your practice name).
❌ Typically Rejected | ✅ Accepted |
Important: If a non-branded email is used and the submission is rejected, the TFN team must file an appeal with Bandwidth which will delay your TFN approval.
3. Required Business Information (Effective February 17, 2026)
As of February 17, 2026, carriers require additional business details for all new toll-free verifications. This is an industry-wide requirement.
To submit your practice's toll-free verification, you must provide your:
Business registration number (BRN)
Business registration type
Business registration country
Business entity type
This information must match your official business records. Learn more here.
