Follow Ups is one of the most effective resources you can use when it comes to filling your schedules and retaining your patients.

It's an automated system that brings valuable patient opportunities to your attention. As you go through the process of completing a Follow Up, you're able to leave valuable notes about what took place as you attempted to follow up with a patient.ย

These notes are vital to both the success of your patients and your practice. To make sure these notes don't go unnoticed, we make it possible for these notes to automatically update inside of Dentrix.

This article walks you through the steps of where Dental Intelligence puts these Follow Up notes inside of Dentrix in case you need to view them in your practice software.

๐Ÿ’ฅ First you will need to enable Dental Intelligence Push Notes! Refer to the following article to learn how to do this:

Once this is enabled, refer to the following steps to learn how to view the push notes!

Viewing Follow Up Push Notes in Dentrix

  1. Complete a Follow Up:

When you contact a patient, make sure you log your attempt inside of Dental Intelligence. To do this, click into the open follow up, or access the patient's Patient Card. Then click the check symbol next to the Follow Up you'd like to complete.

  2. Choose the outcome

As you can see, there are 3 outcome options to choose from when completing a Follow Up. You're only able to add notes to 2 of the 3 options which are Contacted - Did Not Schedule and Did Not Reach Decision Maker. Because of that, we're only going to focus on those two outcomes in this article.

  3. Reschedule the Follow Up and leave a note

Once you've chosen the outcome, you'll need to reschedule the follow up for a future date. To do this, simply choose the date you'd like the Follow Up to reappear, choose a team member to assign it to and then leave a note of what took place during your attempt. Once you have all of that information added in, click Reschedule.

  4. Accessing the Follow Up information and notes in Dentrix

After you reschedule the Follow Up, your attempt and notes will automatically be pushed to Dentrix. To access this information, simply search the patients name and access their account. From here, click the Office Journal icon.

Once in the Office Journal, you'll see files labeled Dental Intelligence Follow-Up. Your most recent Follow Up will be the file located at the bottom of the list.

  5. Simply click on the file you're looking for and then you can see the Follow Up attempt information and notes.

And just like that, you now have a fail proof system for filling your schedule and retaining your patients.
