You may hear or see the term Source Data or Metric Details when navigating between dashboards or watching educational videos in Dental Intelligence. Metric Details is used to create the graphs, metrics, and charts throughout the website. Looking at the underlying metric details is very helpful when you are needing to drill down on why a number has been calculated the way it has.
How to Access Metric Details
Step by Step Instructions:
Below, we will walk through an example of finding metric details for Production in the Performance Board
First, go to the Performance board and find the Production metric
Next click the Magnifying Glass icon on the top right hand corner
You will now see the patient details & data behind for the metric:
Most metrics on the Performance Board and Collections Board feature metric details that can be exported.
Metric Details show what information is being used to calculate the numbers for a metric, this often includes patient names, procedure codes, and other data. The Metric Details lists also have the ability to be exported as .csv document to be opened in Excel, refer to the following steps to learn how to do this.
How to Export Source Data
Step by Step Instructions:
Open the Metric Details by clicking the magnifying glass in the right hand corner of the metric.
Then export the list by clicking the Export button in the top right of the populated Metric Details.
Depending on the Metric, you can select what data you would like to export by filtering with the drop down menu to the left of the Export button.
After you select Export, the file will appear in the bottom left corner of your browser allowing you save and open the Metric Details in Microsoft Excel.
