Swell is fully integrated with Engagement, so that you can manage more with less.

Watch the short video below to learn how to enable Swell as your Reviews partner and add Swell API Tokens to your Engagement users so that you can start monitoring and managing your online presence:

If you are unable to access settings or Swell from your Engagement dashboard, you have not been granted permission in your user profile. Contact an admin team member in your practice to enable access or work with them to complete the steps outlined in the instructions below. Click here to learn how to update user permissions.

Enable Swell in Engagement Settings

Set up Swell as your Review partner in Engagement Settings by following the steps below:

  1. Click on the settings gear in the upper right corner of Engagement, then click on the Partners tab

  2. Click on the Swell section

  3. Select the checkbox to enable Swell

  4. When finished, click on the blue Save button to update your settings

Once enabled, your Swell dashboard will now show in the left side menu of Engagement.

Add Swell API Tokens to Engagement User(s) Profiles

To set up Swell for users in Engagement, you'll first need to add a Swell API Token to their user profile.

  1. Click on the Swell tab in the Engagement left side menu and enter your Swell login credentials.

  2. Once you are logged into Swell, click on your Swell Profile icon in the upper right corner and then click Profile.

  3. From the left side menu of your Swell dashboard, click on the API section, and then click the New API Token button in the upper right corner.

  4. Name your token (we recommend giving it a name that helps you remember where it is being utilized, ie Perfect Dental Engagement). Click the checkboxes next to each ability to allow token permissions, or select all. When finished, click Create Token.

  5. Once the token is created, click the Copy to Clipboard button to capture the unique API token ID.

  6. Now that your token has been copied, return to your Engagement dashboard and access your Engagement Settings by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right corner.

  7. Next, click on the Users tab and then locate the Engagement user that you would like to add the Swell API token to. Click on the 3-dot menu and then click Edit

  8. Within the user profile, click on the Integrations section

  9. Locate the Swell API Token field
    โ€‹

โ€‹Paste the copied token ID by right-clicking and selecting Paste from the dropdown menu or use the keyboard shortcut Command-V (Mac) or Control-V (PC).

  10. Once pasted, be sure to click the blue Save User button to activate the API token for that user
