Swell is fully integrated with Dental Intelligence, so that you can manage more with less.
Watch the short video below to learn how to enable Swell as your Reviews partner and add Swell API Tokens to your Dental Intelligence users so that you can start monitoring and managing your online presence.
If you are unable to access settings or Swell from your Dental Intelligence dashboard, you have not been granted permission in your user profile. Contact an admin team member in your practice to enable access or work with them to complete the steps outlined in the instructions below. Click here to learn how to update user permissions.
Enable Swell in Settings
Set up Swell as your Review partner in Settings by following the steps below:
Click on the settings gear in the upper right corner of your Dental Intelligence dashboard, then click on the Partners tab
Click on the Swell section
Choose from the following options to enable Swell in Dental Intelligence:
• Enable the Swell dashboard within the Dental Intelligence portal –– this option will enable Swell and disable the automated Online Review TouchPoint™. Patient reviews will only be sent from Swell based on your Swell setup.
• Enable the Swell dashboard within Dental Intelligence, but allow enabling Dental Intelligence Online Review TouchPoint™ –– this option will enable Swell and allow you to also enable the Online Review TouchPoint™. Please make sure to only use either Swell or TouchPoints™ for your automated review requests so that patients do not receive multiple review request messages.When finished, click on the blue Save button to update your settings
Once enabled, your Swell dashboard will now show in the Marketing dropdown in the left side menu.
Add Swell API Tokens to Engagement User(s) Profiles
To set up Swell for Dental Intelligence users, you'll first need to add a Swell API Token to their user profile.
Click on the Marketing dropdown, then click on the Swell dashboard in the left side menu and enter your Swell login credentials
Once you are logged into Swell, click on your Swell Profile icon in the upper right corner and then click Profile
From the left side menu of your Swell dashboard, click on the API section, and then click the New API Token button in the upper right corner.
Name your token (we recommend giving it a name that helps you remember where it is being utilized, ie Perfect Dental Engagement). Click the checkboxes next to each ability to allow token permissions, or select all. When finished, click Create Token
Once the token is created, click the Copy to Clipboard button to capture the unique API token ID
Now that your token has been copied, return to your Dental Intelligence dashboard and access your Settings by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right corner
Next, click on the Users tab and then locate the Dental Intelligence user that you would like to add the Swell API token to. Click on the 3-dot menu and then click Edit
Within the user profile, click on the Integrations section
Locate the Swell API Token field. Paste the copied token ID by right-clicking and selecting Paste from the dropdown menu or use the keyboard shortcut Command-V (Mac) or Control-V (PC).
Once pasted, be sure to click the blue Save User button to activate the API token for that user
