In LocalMed you can enable a Calendar Buffer to allow more control of your provider's schedules!

A Calendar Buffer means that a patient cannot schedule an appointment within a number of hours before the appointment. For example, if you want to have a 24 hour Calendar Buffer, this means patients cannot schedule an appointment that is within 24 hours of the current time.

How to Add a Calendar Buffer

  1. Log-in to www.localmed.com/clients as a provider

  2. Access the Practice Overview

  3. Select the Gear Icon next to the Provider

  4. Select the Schedule Settings tab

  5. Click into the Provider

  6. Here you will see the text box for Calendar Buffer

  7. Enter in the number of hours you would like to enable the Calendar Buffer for

  8. Scroll to the bottom of this page and click Save Changes

  9. Click Practice Overview in the top left corner of the page to access the Providers list again and follow this process for additional providers if needed

  10. LocalMed will reflect these updates within 5 - 10 minutes!
