Dental Intelligence provides you with automated or manual methods to invite patients to schedule appointments online at your practice. Within Dental Intelligence Online Scheduling, you have the ability to send patients a general practice link so they can see all of the service types your practice offers, or create and send custom scheduling links, which will allows patients to schedule a specific appointment type.

We recommend starting your Online Scheduling journey by watching our webinar! We'll show you how to leverage Online Scheduling in Dental Intelligence to increase the number of visits in your practice.

Update Online Scheduling Invitation Message Verbiage

Before sending out online scheduling invitations to patients, you can review the message included with your scheduling link in Dental Intelligence Settings.

  1. Click on the settings gear in the upper right corner

  2. Click on the Verbiage tab

  3. Click on the Online Scheduling section to expand it, then click on the pencil icon to make changes to the text and email versions of the message

  4. Add placeholders by clicking on the Placeholders dropdown

  5. When finished, click Save to apply your changes

Note: Do not remove the :link placeholder. If the :link placeholder is removed from the body of the message, your patients will not be able to click to schedule online when they receive your invitation message.

Send Manual Online Scheduling Requests

Important note: Before you can invite patients to schedule, you must have at least one practice-level service added. Learn how to set up practice-level services.

If you would like to send scheduling requests to patient(s) for immediate booking or for a specific procedure, please send them a custom scheduling link.

Copy/Paste Scheduling Links into Messages

  1. Click on the Schedule dropdown in the left side menu, then click Configuration

  2. Next, click on the Scheduling links tab

  3. Your general scheduling link is located at the top of the page. Click on the copy icon to copy the general scheduling link URL

  4. Or, in the Custom Scheduling Links section, click on the copy icon next to the custom link name

  5. Once copied, you can paste the link in direct messages or email templates

When a patient receives a scheduling link via direct message, the experience will look like this:
