What Is an In-House Membership Plan?
An in-house membership plan is a custom dental plan your practice offers directly to patients who don’t have, or prefer not to use, dental insurance. It helps you provide consistent care and build patient loyalty through predictable pricing and benefits.
Benefits of in-house membership plans include:
Inclusive or discounted services (e.g., cleanings, exams, X-rays)
Predictable recurring revenue for your practice
Simplified billing with automated payments
Increased patient retention and satisfaction
With Dental Intelligence, you can automate enrollment, track memberships, and manage payments — all in one place.
When a patient fills out a digital dental insurance form through Dental Intelligence and selects that they do not have dental insurance, you can enable a setting that will trigger another question that asks if they would like to hear more about your practice's in-house membership plan. If they select yes, they will automatically be sent a link with additional information.
Note: In order to edit Forms in Engagement, you must be an Admin user. If you are an Admin user and don't see the Edit pencil icon, please contact Support for assistance.
Follow these step-by-step instructions to learn how to get your in-house membership plan link added to patient forms.
How to Add Your In-House Membership Plan Link to Patient Forms
Contact Dental Intelligence Support and request that your in-house membership plan link be added to your Dental Intelligence account (please provide your in-house membership plan URL; generally, this is a link from your practice website)
Once your in-house membership plan URL has been added, you'll see it in Settings > Services > Resources
If your plan link has been successfully added by support, the Membership Plans Info field will show the in-house membership plan URL you provided
Once your membership plan link has been added by our support team, any time a patient answers "No" when asked for dental insurance on their patient forms, an additional question will appear, asking if they are interested in learning about in-house membership plan options.
If the patient selects "Yes, please!" to learning more about the membership plan, upon form submission they will receive a text message with your membership plan link where they can learn more and sign up.
