At Dental Intelligence, we are dedicated to providing innovative software solutions that empower dental practices to enhance patient care and streamline their operations. One of the exciting features of our software is the ability to initiate outbound calls. In this knowledge base article, we'll explore how this feature works and what you need to have in place to make the most of it.

Using the Outbound Call Feature

Our outbound call feature is designed to simplify communication between dental practitioners and their patients. This feature enables you to initiate calls for various purposes, including appointment reminders, treatment updates, and post-treatment follow-ups, all from within the Dental Intelligence software.

Important Note: Compatibility Requirement

To utilize the outbound call feature, it's important to note that you'll need to have a compatible application already downloaded onto your computer. This application should have the capability to initiate calls. This ensures a seamless experience when initiating outbound calls with the help of our software.

Integrating Phone or Email Services

When you click on the phone or mail icon within the patient card, the Dental Intelligence software does not directly integrate with phone or email services. Analytics also cannot make outbound calls by itself. Instead, it leverages the phone and email services that are already available on the workstation you are using. This means that you can use the phone and email applications you are familiar with.

Windows Workstations

If you are using a Windows workstation and have a phone system set up, clicking the phone icon within the patient card will open that phone service if the phone service you are using has a downloadable app available. This allows you to initiate calls seamlessly using your established phone system.

Mac Workstations

On a Mac workstation, clicking the phone icon will open FaceTime. Similarly, clicking the mail icon will launch Apple Mail. These integrations ensure that you can easily initiate calls or open your email application using the patient card.

The Benefits

Our outbound call feature offers several benefits that can enhance your practice's operations and patient care:

  1. Efficiency: Streamlining outbound calls with other software reduces the need to switch between applications, saving you time and simplifying your workflow.

  2. Enhanced Patient Engagement: Personalized calls and timely follow-ups foster stronger patient relationships and improve patient satisfaction.

  3. Reduced No-Shows: Utilize the outbound call feature to send appointment reminders and minimize the occurrence of no-show appointments.

  4. Data-Driven Insights: Gain insights into patient communication patterns and interactions through our software's analytics capabilities.

Dental Intelligence's outbound call feature empowers your practice to communicate efficiently and effectively with your patients. By leveraging the phone and email services already available on your computer, you can seamlessly start calls and enhance patient engagement. Whether you're using Windows or a Mac workstation, this feature is designed to simplify your workflow and improve patient care. If you have any further questions or need assistance, our support team is here to help you every step of the way.
