Supported Practice Management Softwares

Engagement is compatible with the following Practice Management Software types. Check to ensure that your Practice Management Software version is listed below.

For new versions moving forward, generally, DI tries to stay compliant with new versions prior to General Availability (GA) release. Our recommendation is to check-in with your Dental Intelligence Team prior to updating so they can provide the correct info on versions that we are compliant with.

Dentrix

  • G7.9

  • 23

  • Up to version 24.13

Important note for Dentrix users: Dentrix version 23.3 is not compatible with forms writeback in Engagement. In order to writeback forms, you must be on Dentrix version 23.4.

Dentrix Enterprise

  • 10

  • 11* (up to 11.0.45)

Important note for Dentrix Enterprise users: In order to utilize the newly released Document Unfiled Utility Service (DocUU Service) for forms writeback, you must be using DXE v11.0.20.935 or above.

The newly released Document Unfiled Utility Service (DocUU Service) workflow allows for forms writeback without requiring the Dentrix Enterprise program to be opened and logged in. Click here to download our Dentrix Enterprise Functionality Guide.

Engagement Dashboard

  • The Engagement Dashboard is a web application loaded from either office.modento.io or office.modento.com and requires general permissions for outbound HTTPS traffic.

  • Due to how modern web applications are built, multiple other addresses (owned by DI, but also belonging to 3rd-party services and plugins) are being accessed during application operation.

  • We do not guarantee a fixed set of IP addresses the dashboard may need to use. However, if outbound traffic needs to be limited, filtering by domain name can be used. Note that no PHI or confidential data is shared or processed by any of the mentioned 3rd-party services or plugins.

Modento Kiosk

Modento Kiosk runs either as a mobile application or web application loaded from forms.modento.io or forms.modento.com and it requires general permissions for outbound HTTPS traffic. Similar to the dashboard, we do not guarantee a fixed set of IP addresses the Modento Kiosk may need to use. However, if outbound traffic needs to be limited, filtering by domain name can be used.

TFN Verification

In order to take advantage of the full suite of features available in our Engagement solution, your practice must have a live website or Facebook page so that your practice TFN can be verified.

Running the Engagement Bridge

  • The Engagement Bridge should be installed on the same machine where the PMS database is installed

  • The computer running the Engagement Bridge must remain powered on to allow the sync tool to run

  • Syncing multiple bridges for the same database can present problems and is not advised

Important note for Dentrix Enterprise users: Dentrix Enterprise must be logged into on the server computer that the Engagement Bridge is installed on. If Dentrix Enterprise is not logged in, the customer will experience Engagement issues.

Important note for DSO locations: For any DSO, it is standard to install the bridge on the app server.

Supported Internet Browsers

  • Chrome (recommended)

  • Firefox

  • Safari

  • Edge

Engagement Kiosk

  • iPad

  • Android/Kindle tablets

  • Kiosks can be set up on any device running that can run an internet browser. An internet connection is required for use
