Introducing the new Engagement Scheduling Center: a centralized dashboard that allows your office staff or scheduling team to schedule appointments on behalf of patients, allowing you to quickly find availability on the schedule at any practice you have access to.
Just click on the Schedule dropdown in the left side menu and then click Scheduling Center to get started.
Select locations, choose a practice-level service, and then select a date. Available appointment time slots will be populated by provider.
Clicking on a time slot allows you to choose an existing or new patient, using the search bar or Online Scheduling Action Items lists. Once selected, just click Schedule to add the patient to the books!
To access the Scheduling Center, you'll need to make sure that your user profile has full access to the Scheduling Center in Permissions.
How to navigate the Scheduling Center and book an appointment
In the left side menu of Engagement, click on Schedule then click Scheduling Center
Next, make the following selections:
Click on the Practice dropdown to select a practice(s) that the patient would like to schedule an appointment at
Once the selected practice has loaded, click on the Provider dropdown to select a provider that the patient would like to schedule an appointment with
Next, select the service-type dropdown
Enter a date manually or click on the calendar icon to choose one, then click Show slots
Availability is shown by selected provider. If no appointments are available, click on the arrows to see the previous/next week's availability
Click on any appointment time to select it
Choose an existing patient using the search bar or Action Items lists, or add a new patient
When finished, click Schedule to book the appointment
Once scheduled, the appointment will automatically be pushed to your practice management software schedule. Any TouchPoints™ that you have set up will also be sent to the patient, alerting them of their newly scheduled appointment and requesting paperwork (if needed).
