NEW! Set provider availability and time blocks in Online Scheduling Configuration (BETA)
The Online Scheduling Availability and Time Blocks features are currently in beta testing. If you are interested in joining the beta group, please contact Dental Intelligence Support.
Introducing Online Scheduling Availability and Time Blocks! Dental Intelligence makes it easy to manage provider availability and block scheduling in Online Scheduling Configuration.
Once set up, enable Availability and Time Blocks in Dental Intelligence to override the availability and block rules in your practice management software so you can manage scheduling in one centralized location––no more switching between platforms.
Check out our Online Scheduling resources for more information:
Updated Practice Hours configuration
Practice Hours setup has been redesigned for greater flexibility and accuracy. You can now configure hours with more detailed time blocks as well as set bi-weekly recurring schedules to ensure automations and online scheduling reflect your true availability. Navigate to Settings > Practice Setup > Practice Hours to get started.
Filter by Patient Reactivation and Outstanding Treatment in Comm Logs
New filters in Communication Logs make it easier to find messages related to patient reactivation and outstanding treatment sent through enabled TouchPoints™. When it comes to monitoring outreach performance, these filters provide quick insight into your team’s re-engagement efforts.
From the Automatic section of Communication Logs, click on the Type column dropdown and select the Outstanding Treatment, Outstanding Treatment Follow Up, or Patient Reactivation filters to find sent messages.
Send Detailed Statements along with single patient payment requests
When sending single payment requests through Dental Intelligence Payments, you can now attach a DI Detailed Statement that breaks down the charges and payments for full transparency. This enhancement helps patients understand their balance, leading to quicker payments and fewer follow-up questions.
Outstanding Team Tasks for all family members shown on the patient card (BETA)
Team Tasks beta users: The patient card now displays outstanding tasks for all related family members, providing a more complete view of what still needs attention. This improvement makes it easier for team members to manage families as a single unit—whether following up on outstanding treatment, past due balances, or appointment confirmations.
Just open a patient card and click on Tasks to review open tasks for all family members. Tasks for the currently selected patient are shown at the top of the tasks list and can be identified by patient names.
Updates to the Analytics Module
NEW! Patient card stat: Annual Case Acceptance
We’ve added a brand-new stat to the patient card in Analytics — Annual Case Acceptance! This stat shows the total dollar amount of treatment accepted by the patient over the last 12 months, giving you an at-a-glance view of their recent case acceptance trends.
When you click on the stat tile, you’ll see a detailed breakdown of the patient’s lifetime treatment plans that make up their total proposed amount (for example: $957 accepted of $7,257 proposed). In the expanded view, you’ll notice helpful icons that show the status of each treatment:
Calendar icon – treatment has been scheduled
Check mark icon – treatment was completed or accepted same-day
You can also update or edit the treatment team directly from this window for even more streamlined record management. With this update, you can quickly understand a patient’s annual case acceptance performance and drill into the details — all without leaving the patient card.
Crowns, Sealants, and FMX metrics added to Location and Provider Scorecards
New procedure metrics—including Crowns, Sealants, and FMX—have been added to both Location and Provider Scorecards. These additions give teams deeper insights into production mix and performance trends across providers and offices.
Use the search bar in the Scorecard Metrics dropdown to locate your desired metrics and apply them to your Scorecard.
Note: New Scorecards data can take up to a week to populate past time periods for each practice. If you do not see data after a week has passed since the release, please contact our Support team.
Choose to group Provider Scorecards by role or location in Scorecard Settings
You can now customize how Provider Scorecards are grouped—by provider role or by location—within the Scorecard Settings. This flexibility allows you to view performance data in the way that best aligns with your practice structure and reporting needs.
New in Better Together (BETA)
Send payment requests from the Collections Board (BETA)
As a Better Together Beta user, you can now send payment requests directly from the Collections Board, making it faster and easier to collect outstanding balances.
Instead of switching between dashboards, simply click on the AR Aging tile, select the patients you want to reach out to, then click the Create Payment Requests button to reach patients with balances in just a few clicks. This streamlines your collections workflow and improves your team’s ability to follow up on unpaid balances efficiently.
The Collections Board updates once a day during our nightly sync, so changes won’t appear in real time just yet. That said, when you send a Payment Request, we’ll always pull in the patient’s most up-to-date balance. If the balance has already been paid, that patient won’t be included in the request.
