How to Check Bridge Connection, Quota Usage, and Resources in Settings

Learn how to use the Services tab in Dental Intelligence Settings to view your bridge connection status, monitor quota usage, and access helpful resources like patient portal and app links.

Use the Services tab in Dental Intelligence Settings to monitor your bridge connection, check email, text, voicemail, and insurance verification quota usage, and access helpful links like your patient portal, Modento Patient mobile app, and online appointment request link.

If you’re having trouble connecting to your practice management software, reaching your usage limits, or finding patient-facing links, the Services tab is the best place to start. Just click on Settings in the upper right corner, then click Services.

If you can’t access Settings or make changes, you may not have permission. Contact an admin at your practice to update your user permissions. Learn how to update permissions.

Bridge Connection and Feature Status

The Status section displays which Dental Intelligence features are currently enabled or disabled in your account.

Bridge Status

Bridge Status shows whether your Engagement Module bridge is connected to your practice management software (PMS).

  • A red X means your bridge connection is inactive and data isn’t syncing.

  • Click View Status to see additional details or troubleshoot the connection.

If your bridge disconnects, exports (write tasks) retry every 30 minutes. Once reconnected, it may take up to 30 minutes for all pending data to sync, though visibility may not be immediate.

Under Notes, you’ll see setup details and any actions needed to complete or reconnect your Engagement Module bridge.


Quota Usage Overview

The Quota Usage section displays the number of emails, text messages, voicemail drops, and insurance verifications sent during the current month.

Voicemail drops operate on a credit system:

Usage Indicators

  • Orange icon: 80% of monthly allowance used

  • Red icon: 100% of monthly allowance used

Even if you exceed your allowance, email and text services will not be shut off.


Resources and Practice Links

The Resources section gives quick access to tools and links that help your practice and patients connect with your Dental Intelligence platform:

  • Dashboard login link – share with team members or bookmark for easy access

  • Check-in flyer (QR code) – for patients to check in or download the Modento Patient mobile app

  • Patient Portal link – patients can complete forms, consents, and payments; QR code downloadable for website, paperwork, or front desk display

  • Modento Patient mobile app link – alternative to the check-in flyer QR code

  • Online review link – easily share to collect patient reviews

  • Online appointment request link – lets patients request a time; you’ll confirm requests before syncing with your PMS

  • Membership plan info – includes URLs for in-office or third-party dental membership plans
