Schedule Settings in LocalMed can be used to quickly customize scheduling availability in LocalMed. Scheduling availability in LocalMed is a reflection of the schedule in your practice management software, however, by updating the LocalMed Schedule Settings, you can quickly turn off availability for an operatory in case of a temporary closure, change which types of appointments are performed in each operatory, as well as update online scheduling widget settings, etc.

Access the Schedule Settings Menu

  1. Click on Practice Overview in the left side menu of LocalMed

  2. In the Offices section of the Practice Overview page, click on the name of the practice that you would like to open

  3. From the left-side menu, click on Schedule Settings

  4. Enable or disable the LocalMed Online Scheduling widget by clicking on the checkbox(s) in the Online Scheduling section of the page

  5. Choose to show openings in the widget by provider or office. When finished, click the blue Save Changes button to update the widget

  6. Select which Operatories are open or closed by selecting or deselecting the checkbox next to each operatory

  7. In the Appointment Operatory Rules section, choose which type(s) of appointments are allowed to be scheduled in each operatory by selecting or deselecting the checkboxes for each
