LocalMed: Adjust Appointment Length in Dentrix

If you would like to adjust the length of the appointment options that show in LocalMed for your practice in Dentrix, follow the instructions below!

Adjust the Length of an Appointment

First, map appointment codes/ types in LocalMed

  1. Login to your LocalMed portal and select the Practice Overview tab

  2. From the LocalMed Connect module, navigate to the Appointment types connected section and click on the gear icon

  3. From the Appointment Types module on the right hand side, select Mapped

  4. Make note of each code/appointment type listed on the left hand side, which have been pulled from Dentrix (You'll need these codes in the next step)

Next, adjust the appointment length in Dentrix

Note: This adjustment requires User Admin permissions in Dentrix.

This adjustment is for multicodes only (ie: xxNPA).

  1. In the Maintenance menu in the Office Manager of Dentrix, point to Practice Set up, and then click Multi-Code Set up

  2. The Multi-Code Set up dialog box will appear

  3. Select the Multi-code that you want to edit and then click Edit. The Multi-Code Editor dialog box will appear. Here you can edit the Procedure Time from this box

  4. Click OK

Note: LocalMed will reflect the appointment length change after the next automated sync and will show in the LocalMed portal.
