Note: This installation process is only eligible for upgrades and needs to be run on a the machine that currently has the Engagement Bridge installed and running (typically the Server machine). If your company has multiple locations utilizing clinics in your PMS, this install only needs to occur on your main server computer. Each location does not need to complete the update. The Server machine must be operating on Windows.
If you notice that your Bridge version is prior to version 100 or if you have issues updating your Bridge, please contact support for assistance.
To successfully update your Engagement bridge, please follow the steps outlined below:
Know Your Current Bridge Version
Ensuring that your Engagement Bridge is connected and up to date is an important part of maintaining your Dental Intelligence subscription. Certain features and product updates require that your Engagement module is updated to a particular software version in order to be utilized.
To view your current Engagement Bridge version:
Navigate to the Settings gear in the upper right corner of Engagement
Click on the Services tab and then select Status from the left side menu
Check the Bridge status line item and ensure that it shows a green Enabled checkmark and review the Notes for details about the current version number
If you notice that your Engagement Bridge is not enabled and is currently offline, please click here to reconnect to your practice management software (PMS).
Verify the Computer Where Engagement Is Installed
To verify that the computer you are upgrading is correct, please do the following:
Open your Start menu (Windows icon)
Search and open Services
Find the service name ModentoTunnel or di.Engagement.Tunnel (the service name depends on the version you currently have installed)
If you cannot locate the ModentoTunnel or di.Engagement.Tunnel, you may need to contact your IT Group to gain access to your server computer.
Update the Engagement Bridge
Once you have confirmed that the computer has the ModentoTunnel installed, follow the steps below to install the Engagement Bridge auto-update tool:
Navigate to downloads.dentalintel.com
Select Dental Intelligence Engagement Bridge and download the installer for the Engagement Bridge
Locate the file in your downloads, right-click, and select Run as Administrator
In the pop-up window, click Yes to allow the Bridge app to make changes
If you are asked to input an Installation Key, you are not on the computer Engagement is currently installed. Please cancel the installation and doublecheck that the computer has the ModentoTunnel Service already installed
In the installation Wizard, select Next
Click OK and allow the installation to run
After installation completes, select Next
Click Finish to complete the installation
π Important Note: The red 'Bridge Update Needed' banner in your Engagement module will disappear from your dashboard 24 hours after completing the update procedure.
