The LocalMed Call Center allows your office staff or Call Center team to schedule appointments on behalf of your patients, allowing you to quickly find availability on the schedule at any practice you have access to.

How to navigate the Call Center and book an appointment

  1. Click on Call Center in the left-side menu of LocalMed

  2. Click on the Practice dropdown to select a practice that the patient would like to schedule an appointment at

  3. Once the selected practice has loaded, click on the Provider dropdown to select a provider that the patient would like to schedule an appointment with

  4. Next, select the Reason for Visit

  5. If desired, click to jump to a particular date or click Search (if you do not jump to a particular date, LocalMed will search for available appointments within the current week)

  6. If no appointments are available in the selected week, LocalMed will suggest the next available date. Click on the date displayed to jump to it and see available appointment times

  7. Click on any blue appointment time to select it

  8. Add the Appointment Info by confirming the Reason for Visit and selecting a Payment option

    1. Note: If the patient will be using insurance to pay for all or a portion of their visit, you can enter their insurance information details here as well (optional)

  9. Next, fill out the Contact Info by adding the patient's first and last name (Note: If it is a guarantor scheduling for a minor, add the guarantor's name here), email, and phone number

  10. In the Patient Info section, add the patient's first and last name, as we all as their birthday

  11. If needed, add a message (optional)

  12. Lastly, select the checkbox to confirm that the patient agrees to receive email and SMS communications about their appointment

  13. When finished, click Submit to book the appointment
