How do I link my Analytics and Engagement user credentials?

Learn how to link your Analytics and Engagement credentials to access the unified Dental Intelligence portal and troubleshoot permissions issues

If your subscription includes both Engagement and Analytics Modules, you have access to the unified portal. This article outlines the process of consolidating your credentials so that you can access all Engagement and Analytics features in the same unified portal.

Unified Login Credentials

Users created prior to November 17, 2025

If you were an Analytics and Engagement user prior to November 17, 2025, it’s important to note that Engagement and Analytics previously operated on separate login systems which required a user account to be created in each portal. Because of this, you may have different credentials for each portal, unless you previously synchronized your credentials during account set-up.

Update your Engagement login to match your Analytics account

In order to access the unified dashboard, it's important to ensure that you are utilizing the same email address for each portal in order to successfully merge your accounts.

To update your Engagement login to match Analytics:

  1. Confirm the email address that is currently being used for your Analytics account (if you're not sure, log in at portal.dentalintel.com)

  2. Next, log in to Dental Intelligence and navigate to Settings > Users

  3. Click on the 3-dot menu and choose Edit

  4. In the Login field, click on the pencil icon to update it and enter the same email address that you utilize for your Analytics account

  5. Click Save to apply your changes

Confirm that your Analytics and Engagement user accounts have been successfully linked by navigating to Settings > Users. If your user accounts have been consolidated, you'll see a green link icon next to your login.

With the unified dashboard now available, a single user account is all that's needed to access both Engagement and Analytics module features if your subscription includes the full Dental Intelligence suite. Once your user account has been created by an office admin, you'll receive an email with login instructions.

Troubleshooting Credential Synchronization Issues

If you encounter difficulties in logging into both platforms with the same credentials, consider the following steps:

  1. Confirm that your Engagement username is the same as the email you currently use to access the Analytics portal. You must use a valid email address as your username for Engagement.

  2. If the issue persists, reset your password.

Access the Analytics-Only Portal

For users looking to toggle between the unified Dental Intelligence portal and the Analytics-Only portal, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Dental Intelligence

  2. Locate the waffle icon in the upper-right corner of the screen

  3. Select "Analytics" from the dropdown to navigate to the Analytics-Only Portal
