Updates to the Engagement Module
Patient Finder's fresh look is now the only look
Earlier this summer, we introduced a cleaner, more modern interface for Patient Finder, giving you the option to switch between the classic and new design using a New design toggle in the top-right corner. Since then, most Dental Intelligence users have made the switch — and now it's time for everyone to move over.
With this release, the toggle has been removed, and all users have been moved to the new Patient Finder design. If you haven't made the switch yet, you'll see the new look automatically the next time you log in.
Here's a recap of what's changed:
Updated column filter buttons: The filter columns (Age, Future Visit, Hygiene Scheduled, Last Visit, Amount Due, and Outstanding Treatment) have been upgraded from simple text labels to clearly styled dropdown buttons. This makes it immediately obvious that these columns are interactive and filterable, removing any guesswork.
Refreshed patient icons: The small status icons displayed next to each patient's name have been redesigned with a lighter, more refined style. The new icons feel more cohesive and less cluttered, making it easier to quickly identify patient flags without visual overload.
All the same data and functionality you rely on is still there — patient search, bulk actions, filters, hygiene scheduling indicators, outstanding balances, and more. The redesign is purely about making that information easier and faster to work with.
No action is needed on your part. The next time you use Patient Finder, you'll see the new design in place.
NEW! Payment Request TouchPoint™
In order to start collecting patient payments, you'll need to have Dental Intelligence Payments as part of your subscription. If you are interested in learning more, CLICK HERE to request a demo!
Stop chasing payments manually. Let TouchPoints™ do the follow-up for you. Set up automated payment request messages based on when the patient received their last payment request, the dollar amount due, number of open claims, and AR aging balance.
Once configured and enabled, the Payment Request TouchPoint™ will send automated reminder messages to patients that meet your criteria with a link that allows them to pay their outstanding balance online — reducing manual follow-up and speeding up collections.
Online Scheduling Performance enhancements
New stats added to Scheduled Appointments chart
The Scheduled Appointments chart in the Online Scheduling Performance dashboard shows statistics on new and returning patients based on the date range you have chosen. The Scheduled Appointments chart now provides the following insights:
Number of new patient appointments scheduled directly by team members
Number of existing patient appointments scheduled directly by team members
Number of new patient appointments that were scheduled online
Number of existing patient appointments that were scheduled online
Number of existing patient appointments that were scheduled using Predictive Scheduling automation
Pull appointment booking sources from the Scheduled Appointments Report
The Schedule Appointments Report in Schedule > Performance now shows appointment source data, giving you greater visibility into where and how patients are scheduling appointments at your practice.
To download the report, navigate to Schedule > Performance and click View Scheduled Appointments, then Download Report.
Predictive Scheduling enhancements
'Pick patients that match with any provider or assigned provider' setting
When enabled, this setting will add a provider-matching filter on top of the other rules already set for the scheduling automation.
Any provider — the slot can be offered to any past-due patient, regardless of which hygienist/doctor is opening at that time. This casts the widest net and fills slots fastest, but a patient might end up seeing someone other than their usual provider.
Assigned provider — the slot is only offered to patients whose assigned provider (the one on file for them, e.g., their regular hygienist) matches the provider who has the opening. This keeps continuity of care but narrows the pool of eligible patients, so slots may take longer to fill or go unfilled if no matching patient is due.
Proposed appointments will show as a block on the LiveOps schedule
Open slots that have already been offered to patients via automation (like Empty Slot Backfill) or manually proposed by a teammate will show as a distinct striped "Time Slot Proposed" block on your schedule, along with how many patients it's been offered to and the matched service type.
Why it matters: Your team can instantly tell which slots are truly open versus already in play — no more double-offering the same slot or guessing what automation is doing behind the scenes. More transparency, fewer scheduling conflicts, faster chair-time fill.
Update to VoIP integration setup
We've made it even easier for you to integrate your existing Mango VoIP services with Dental Intelligence in Settings > Partners > VoIP Integrations. Simply input your Mango API token and start using the integration right away.
Not using Mango? No problem! You can still set up screen pops through simultaneous calling if your provider supports it. Just choose Screen Pops Through Simultaneous Calling in the integration dropdown.

General Reports enhancements
General Reports got a makeover: General Reports has an updated look, making it easier for you to get a consistent experience across Daily, Weekly, and Monthly views.
Gross/Net Production metric is now shown as 'Production': We've removed the Gross/Net label from the Production metric in General Reports for more clarity. Your Production calculation is always based on the production settings you've configured (Gross or Net).
