NEW! Patient Finder has a fresh look
The Patient Finder has been updated with a cleaner, more modern interface. You can switch between the classic and new design anytime using the New design toggle in the top-right corner of the Patient Finder. Here's what's changed:
Updated column filter buttons: The filter columns (Age, Future Visit, Hygiene Scheduled, Last Visit, Amount Due, and Outstanding Treatment) have been upgraded from simple text labels to clearly styled dropdown buttons. This makes it immediately obvious that these columns are interactive and filterable, removing any guesswork.
Refreshed patient icons: The small status icons displayed next to each patient's name have been redesigned with a lighter, more refined style. The new icons feel more cohesive and less cluttered, making it easier to quickly identify patient flags without visual overload.
All the same data and functionality you rely on is still there — patient search, bulk actions, filters, hygiene scheduling indicators, outstanding balances, and more. The redesign is purely about making that information easier and faster to work with.
To try the new design, simply toggle New design to the on position (green) at the top right of the Patient Finder screen.
Toggling back and forth between the new and old version of the Patient Finder will only change the view on your user account, not other users at your practice.
NEW! Online Scheduling Availability Insights
Availability Insights is a built-in diagnostic tool within your Dental Intelligence Online Scheduling dashboard that helps you quickly understand why certain time slots or providers aren't appearing for patients when booking online.
Open Availability Insights from any scheduling link and you'll see your schedule the same way a patient does. Hover over any time slot or provider and you'll get a clear explanation of why it's available or why it's blocked — things like a scheduling conflict, a service limit, or a setting that needs to be adjusted.
What this means for your practice:
Faster troubleshooting — Pinpoint exactly why a time slot or provider isn't available, without the guesswork.
Greater visibility — See the rules and constraints affecting your schedule in real time.
Fewer recurring issues — Spot misconfigurations before they impact patient bookings.
More confident adjustments — Make changes backed by clear, concrete information rather than trial and error.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: In order to utilize Availability Insights for Online Scheduling, you must also have Provider Availability and Time Blocks set up in Dental Intelligence. The 'Override PMS Provider Availability' toggle in the General Settings tab must be enabled (green) in order for Availability Insights to show up in your dashboard.
Updated logic: "Sync from PMS" and "Override from PMS"
We've updated the logic for the Online Scheduling settings in your Dental Intelligence dashboard:
If the Online Scheduling "Override PMS Provider Availability" toggle is disabled, Dental Intelligence ONLY reads provider schedules and time blocks from your practice management software.
If the Online Scheduling "Override PMS Provider Availability" toggle is enabled, Dental Intelligence will read provider schedules and "Do Not Schedule" time blocks from your practice management software AND the setup in Dental Intelligence Providers Availability and Time Blocks. This is because we want to ensure that we're including any "Do Not Schedule" blocks from your practice management software schedule, as well as what's been set up in Dental Intelligence Online Scheduling.
The "Sync from PMS" button will always show in the General Settings tab of Online Scheduling regardless of whether the "Override PMS Provider Availability" toggle is disabled or enabled. This ensures that you can always sync the most recent schedule from your practice management software as needed.
Updated design: Give users access to multiple locations or entire org
We've updated the location access selection when adding or editing user profiles in Dental Intelligence. Now, when you need to give users access to one or more locations, you can quickly choose to allow login only at selected practices or give access to the entire organization by clicking on the radio button.
Only Organization Admins can make changes to location access in Dental Intelligence.
Updates to the Analytics Module
Provider Pulse is now fully multi-location friendly
Managing multiple offices just got easier. Hygiene and Treatment Case metrics in the Provider Pulse are now multi-location compatible –– meaning you can review provider performance across al of your locations in one place. Just click on the new Locations dropdown to choose locations that you have access to.
The location that the provider practices at will be shown beneath their name.
New Location and Provider Scorecards metrics
We've added two new metrics to Provider and Location Scorecards:
Case $ Presented Average w/ Tx Team
Case $ Accepted Average Per Seen w/ Tx Team
These additions give you greater visibility into production trends and make it easier to track key performance indicators without jumping between reports.
We've also added a new metric from the Morning Huddle: Patients Not Rescheduled (for Location Scorecards only). This addition helps you track which patients are leaving your practice after an appointment without a future appointment scheduled.
