How are Hygiene Appointments categorized in Eaglesoft?

I'm seeing appointments that I do not consider to be Hygiene appointments listed under that category. Why is this happening?

Dental Intelligence calculates many of it's metrics based upon whether patients are coming in to be seen for Restorative work, Hygiene, or "Misc."

Dental Intelligence categorizes Eaglesoft Hygiene appointments in one of two ways:

  1. By "Hygiene" code: If there are "Hygiene" codes attached to the appointment, Dental Intelligence will categorize the appointment as a Hygiene appointment. These codes include: D1110, D1120, D4341, D4342, D4346, and D4910.

  2. By "Performed By" selection: If we cannot find any codes that categorize the appointment as Hygiene, Dental Intelligence will consider any appointment marked as "Performed by Hygienist" in Eaglesoft as a Hygiene appointment.

How to Select "Performed By" in an Appointment Type

In Eaglesoft, under Lists > OnSchedule > Appointment Types, every appointment type is considered as being either performed by a dentist or a hygienist. If the appointment type selected has been marked as performed by a doctor, Dental Intelligence will categorize the appointment as restorative. If the appointment type selected has been marked as performed by hygienist, we will categorize appointments of that type as Hygiene appointments.
