2. Understanding the Basics of Online Scheduling
Now that everything is set up, it’s important for you and your team to be on the same page about how and where your online scheduling links will be used.
You can add them as a widget or button on your practice website.
You can also share a general scheduling link that lets patients choose from all available appointment types. You can use this link in email campaigns, send it in a text message, or turn it into a QR code to place on a flyer in your practice.
Another option is to send an invite to schedule, which directs a patient to book a specific type of appointment.
You can also send scheduling invitations in bulk via different dashboards in Dental Intelligence
Scheduling with LiveOps
1. Scheduling Appointments in LiveOps
LiveOps is a multi-use tool in your Dental Intelligence dashboard that helps you manage and track your day more easily. It lets you follow each patient’s journey while also giving you a live schedule view.
This is a great tool to get familiar with, especially for scheduling. It syncs with your practice management software throughout the day, so you always have the most up-to-date schedule.
If there are open gaps in your schedule, you can quickly fill them by booking an appointment directly.
2. Sending Appointment Proposals in LiveOps
You can send a proposed appointment slot to one patient or a group of patients from an Action Items list.
Proposals can be sent on a first-come, first-served basis or in 30-minute increments. The first patient to accept and schedule the time slot online gets it, and the other patients are notified that the slot has been filled.

Other Useful Tools
1. The Scheduling Center
Similar to the scheduling tool in LiveOps, the Scheduling Center is a useful tool for practices with patients calling to schedule patients for any last minute openings. This feature is especially helpful for practices with multiple locations, as it allows you to view and schedule patients into open time slots across all locations.
If you are viewing openings across multiple locations, just make sure you are selecting the correct location when booking so the patient is scheduled in the right office.

2. Action Items Dashboard
The Action Items dashboard organizes patients who need appointments into groups such as ASAP requests, past-due hygiene, recent broken appointments, and unscheduled treatment.
From here, you can send a bulk invitation to schedule, giving patients a link so they can book an available time that works for them based on the online scheduling settings you’ve set up.

3. Online Scheduling Performance Dashboard
You’ve been hard at work scheduling patients and sharing your online scheduling link through email campaigns, your practice website, and more. Now it’s time to see the results.
The Online Scheduling Performance Dashboard shows you how many new and existing patients have scheduled within a selected time frame.
It also gives insight into which insurance plans those patients use and which scheduling links are driving bookings.
