Learn how to curate a list of patients with unscheduled treatment, then create and send an email campaign to get them booked

Patients with outstanding unscheduled treatment represent a pool of potential production for your practice, contributing to your financial stability and growth. With their needs already identified, these patients offer a ready-made opportunity for treatment planning and scheduling, streamlining your practice's workflow.

Pull a List of Patients with Outstanding Treatment

Users with Engagement Online Scheduling

If your practice utilizes Engagement Online Scheduling, you can use the Action Items dashboard to quickly populate a list of patients with Outstanding Treatment.

The Outstanding Treatment list captures patients that have outstanding unscheduled treatment. This list makes it easier for your practice to have visibility on patients that have accepted treatment but aren't yet booked on your schedule.

The Outstanding Treatment tile shows the total number of patients on the list, as well as the total dollar value of their outstanding unscheduled treatments:

Users without Engagement Online Scheduling

If your practice does not utilize Engagement Online Scheduling, you can still populate a list of patients with outstanding treatment from the Patients dashboard.

Click on the Outstanding Treatment filter to enter minimum and maximum treatment plan dollar values. Add procedure code tags to capture treatment plans that involve certain procedures. Select Exact match only to limit the results to patients with procedures limited to the specified tag(s).

Send an Email Campaign Using Bulk Actions

Once you've populated your list of patients from the Action Items dashboard or Patients dashboard, click on the checkbox next to Bulk Actions to select all of the patients in your list, then click Send an email campaign.

Engagement has set limits for emails that are sent in bulk. Emails in Engagement are limited to 15,000 per hour for Bulk Messaging.

Tip for Engagement Online Scheduling Users: You can also use Bulk Actions to send scheduling invitations to patients. Just click on the Outstanding Treatment tile, then click on the checkbox next to Bulk Actions to select all of the patients on your list, then click Invite to schedule.
