Online Scheduling with Engagement [Modento] will help to simplify your patient's experience when scheduling future appointments and save you time! Here is a short video going over our Online Scheduling feature:
💥Important Note💥: Online Scheduling with Engagement [Modento] is a Premium Add On. If you have not already added this feature, this will not be enabled in your settings. If you would like to add Online Scheduling, reach out to our support team or your Account Manager to begin this process
💥Block Template Scheduling💥
Engagement [Modento] Online Scheduling is able to read block template scheduling in your practice management software. This is also known as:
Dentrix - Perfect Day Scheduling
OpenDental - Blockout Types
Eaglesoft - OnSchedule Templates
If you would like to utilize this feature, please ensure that your block template scheduling is enabled and set up in your practice management software. If you need assistance with this, please reach out to your practice management software's support. Once this is done, reach out to our support team to allow us to update your Engagement [Modento] Bridge to the newest version that is compatible with block template scheduling. You can then enable block template scheduling in Engagement by following these steps (specifically refer to steps 17 & 18).
How to Setup Online Scheduling in Engagement [Modento]
Step by Step Instructions:
Select Practice Setup
Then click into Online Scheduling & select Create Service Type to get started
In the Create Service Type process, you will need to complete the following fields:
Enter Service Name
Include a Description of the Service
Add the Time Duration of the appointment
Adjust the time needed for Assisted Preparation and Assisted Finish Time
Select check boxes for the Patient Status this appointment will be available for, New Patients, Existing Patients or both
Select check boxes for Patient Type, Adult, Child or both
Select check box to Automatically Create the appointment in your Practice Management Software (Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft). If not selected this will appear as an appointment request
💥Note💥: This is only applicable if you have a Bridge Version of 70 or Higher. If you have a lower Bridge Version, this will appear as an appointment request and will not automatically push the appointment onto the schedule.
The ADA codes will Not be automatically attached to the appointment. The applicable codes will be listed in the appointment notes to inform you of the reason for visit, the ADA codes will need to be manually attached once it is pushed through. To learn more about appointment requests, click here.
Then click Next
Select check boxes next to the Operatories this appointment can be scheduled in
Then select the applicable providers in that Operatory
Add the Procedure/Appointment Codes
Select the Hide Service for Patient at "Reason to Visit" section if desired. This will avoid patients viewing this appointment on the Online Scheduling page, but allows you to send the invite directly to the patient instead
If this is selected, an additional option will be available to Allow scheduling only in specific blocks. This is correlated with your Block Template Scheduling in your practice management software. If you would like to enable this for the service type you are selecting, click the check box and select the applicable block.

When the patient opens the online scheduling link after it is sent to them, they will be required to enter in their First & Last name and their Birthday. If this information does not match any patient information on file, we will inform the patient to ensure all fields are correct, or to ensure that if they are a new patient, they select the New patient check box.
Once this is complete they will select their Reason for Visit from the available options you have set up. This will prompt them to either select a Specific Provider or be seen by the Next Available Provider that can be scheduled through the online scheduling settings.
Last, they will select a Time Slot from the available times Engagement [Modento] is able to read from your Practice Management Software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and the time durations you have selected.
Finally a summary and confirmation page to ensure all selected information is correct.
💥Important Note💥: If you have a Bridge Version of 70 or Higher, this online scheduling process can be set to push the appointment into the schedule automatically. If you have a lower Bridge Version, this will appear as an appointment request and will not automatically push the appointment onto the schedule. To learn more about appointment requests, click here.
Custom Online Scheduling Links
In Engagement [Modento], you can now send a Custom Online Scheduling Link that allows you to create and send scheduling links for specific procedures to individual patients. To learn how to create and send Custom Online Scheduling Link, click here.
Group Service Types
If you are a part of a DSO (Dental Service Organization) or Group Dentistry office, using Engagement [Modento]'s Online Scheduling, you will now be able to connect Group Service Types if you have multiple locations! Doing this will enable you and your team to send scheduling links that allow patients to choose from multiple locations when scheduling specific service types.
