Easily manage and monitor important features such as practice contact information, appointment communications, kiosk devices, and more in the Practice Setup tab of Engagement Settings.
Within Engagement Settings, you have access to a Practice Setup tab that provides an overview of important Engagement services and information. Click on each of the sections below to learn more:
If you are unable to access Engagement Settings or make changes, you have not been granted permission in your user profile. Practice Info
Before you can begin implementing all of the efficient and insightful features that Engagement has to offer, you'll need to enter general practice information like your logo and office hours.
Treatment Plans
Treatment Plans in Engagement allow you to include payment options that are customizable to your practice. This ensures that patients understand the price breakdown and the available options they have to pay for the treatment that has been presented. This will increase the likelihood that they accept the treatment and gives you control over what you accept for patient payment.

Mobile App / Loyalty
The Modento Mobile App is an app that patients use as a platform for communication that helps you to simplify and incentivize their experience. In the app, patients can achieve and redeem points through our Loyalty Program, communicate with your team, complete forms & consents and more!
Screen Pops
Engagement offers a "screen pop" feature for customers that are using VolP phone systems with a Simultaneous Calling feature. If you are interested in setting up call pops this way, please reach out to your VolP provider and confirm that they offer Simultaneous Calling.
Voicemail Drops
Voicemail drops are the quickest and easiest way to provide urgent information and personal messages to patients in the form of a voicemail.
Voicemail Drop credits are required in order to use this feature. Each voicemail sent will require one credit. If voicemails are not delivered or if the patients voicemail box is full, you will not be charged for that credit.

Insurance
Your NPI is a unique identification number for covered health care providers. Covered health care providers and all health plans and health care clearinghouses must use the NPIs in the administrative and financial transactions adopted under HIPAA.
Add your provider NPI information in Engagement Settings > Practice Setup > Insurance.
Kiosk Devices
A Kiosk registered with Engagement allows patients to check-in on an in-office device while still keeping your practice totally paperless. Engagement gives you the ability to utilize almost any device as a Kiosk that can be used to check-in, review, fill and sign patient forms, consents and treatment plans.
The Modento Kiosk App is directly compatible with iPads, Android tablets, and Kindle Fire tablets that have a screen size of least 8". However, you can adopt other devices to become Modento Kiosks as long as they are connected to WiFi.

Payments
All OpenDental and Eaglesoft users can toggle their Engagement Payments settings to do the following:
automatically post payments and refunds to the ledger
automatically archive payments and refunds that have been posted to the ledger
automatically send payment receipts to patients via email
allow patients to make payments via the Patient Portal
show outstanding patient balances in the Patient Portal
